Accessibility
Taranta Festival is designed to be accessible to everyone in our community, not as an afterthought but as part of how we plan the whole event.
Getting around
Our venues are chosen with step-free access in mind wherever possible. We assess accessibility requirements at each site individually, since the festival takes place across several locations in Bellingen, including Bellingen Memorial Hall and outdoor public spaces.
If you use a wheelchair, mobility aid, or have specific access needs for a particular venue, get in touch before the festival and we'll walk you through what to expect at each location.
Communication
We write our festival information in plain language, so instructions, programs and ticketing information are easy to follow.
Cost and participation
A lot of our programming is free, and the festival is spread across public spaces around town so people can take part at whatever level suits them, whether that's watching from the street or joining a workshop.
Alcohol-free environment
Taranta Festival runs as an alcohol-free event. This is a deliberate choice that makes the festival a comfortable space for families, children, and anyone for whom an alcohol-free environment matters culturally, religiously, or personally.
Tickets
Ticketing is handled through Humanitix, which supports accessible online purchasing.
First aid and safety
First aid is available at all venues throughout the festival. If you have a medical condition or safety concern you'd like us to know about ahead of time, let us know.
Tell us what you need
If you have an access requirement that isn't covered here, or you want to check on something specific before you come, contact us at [insert contact email] and we'll do our best to help.
